Orthopedics is a discipline of surgery related to all the injuries of the musculoskeletal system. It deals with the treatment of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, etc. using surgical as well as non-surgical practices. The department provides comprehensive care in all areas of orthopedics ranging, from sports injuries, hand, foot, spine procedures, hip, knee, arthroscopy, Trauma & Joint Replacement etc. Our surgeons combine surgical expertise with pioneering clinical and basic research in areas such as stimulation of bone and tissue repair and total joint reconstruction, hip, shoulder and knee management, fracture and pain management. Complicated surgeries are performed from pediatrics to geriatrics. The department has witnessed complicated joint replacement surgeries for the old aged patients that have been successful with 99% ambulation within few months.
The department is a tertiary referral center for primary revision orthopedic surgeries. The department is focused on preventive orthopedics and re-generative orthopedics. Department provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetic with the aim to get back the patient free injury level of activities. The motto of the department is to ‘DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME’
