Pathology
The department of pathology is strategically situated between the pre clinical basic medical sciences and the clinical medical departments to cater the needs of medical students as well as to offer optimal laboratory services to the patients attending the Owaisi group of hospitals.
The department has eminent and dedicated faculty members contributing to the knowledge building in the medical fraternity at international medical standards.
Every year, the department chalks out a comprehensive undergraduate medical curriculum encompassing theory lectures,self directed learning,topicseminars,short group discussions,practical demonstration along withAttitude,ethics and communication modules of imparting holistic pathology training followed by evaluation of the students. Automated cell counters for hematology, Cytospin with conventional centrifuges, automated urine analyzers and cryostat for frozen sections and reporting are available in the department. Side labs are attached to all the clinical departments.The service labs of pathology respond to the different clinical requisitions of Hematology, clinical pathology, cytopathology diagnosis and histopathology reporting and interpretation.
